Is Judo Your Sensei's Full-Time Job or "side job"?

Auto Date Wednesday, November 16th, 2011

I remember talking with one of my mentors
back in 2002 when I was making my second
run at the Olympic Games and he asked me:

"Are your coaches full time Judo coaches
or do they do it as a hobby?"

I asked him, "Why do you ask that?"

He replied, "Because if they do it as a hobby,
they are going to treat your career as if it is
a hobby and there's nothing worse than you
being serious and your coach not."

Man that point hit home.

This is what causes people to use the following
phrases:

- It doesn't matter if you win or lose, it's how you
play the game

- Don't worry..... you'll do better next time

- Hey, you tried your best and THAT'S what's
important.

- Don't sweat it champ.... we'll get `em next year.

- Just put two hands on the gi and play judo

These are the types of phrases that people
say when their investment in YOUR career
is incongruent with YOUR investment in your
career.

=====================
Sometimes You Have To
Get Some Professional
Services
=====================

Let's just keep it, as the young folks say,
REAL!!!

You have no hope at all of being a professional
without acting like one.

One of the major things that I see in the sport
of judo is that the people do not do the
things that normal professionals do in professional
sports.

Case in point.

How many judo matches how you competed in
where you DID NOT HAVE YOUR COACH
review your video from your matches and provide
you with feedback?

If your answer is more than "1'' that's too many

How many practices have you attended that
aren't taped or recorded?

If you answer is more than "5'' that's too many.

LOOK!!!!

How can you fix your mistakes and errors
without immediate feedback?!?!?!?!

====================
WHAT I DO IS NOT MAGIC
====================

People see the way that I have improved
the careers of some of my fighters
quickly and rapidly and think that I
have some type of secret.

Well, I do. It's called Deliberate Practice
and HOURS AND HOURS OF VIDEO
study.

I DO THE THING THAT ALL OF THESE
OTHER COACHES DON'T DO.

And if they do actually do it, they cannot
do it like I can because I don't have 20,
30 or 40 different people to do it for.

I keep a small group of clients and help
them achieve success.

Right now I want to do for you what
I do for some of my clients.

Please allow me to review your video.

Watch this video and fill out the survey
below and let me provide you with the
professional service that you need and
DESERVE for all the of the hard work
that you do.

Can I Review One Of Your Judo Matches? (for phree)

Auto Date Tuesday, November 15th, 2011

Seriously, I want to review and critique one of your judo
videos, matches or practices.

However, I need your help in making that happen.

You see, I am still in the beginning stages of "relaunching"
and transferring over the majority of my online presence to
drrhadiferguson/ and since then I've had
an area for Video Review with a video review form on there
for quite some time, and while I have received some video
and some matches have been submitted, I would like to
receive more information from you to really make it beneficial
to you.

So here's what I've done for you. I've created a new Judo
Video Submission survey that will help me really understand
your goals for your judo career and aspirations in the sport.

drrhadiferguson/video-review-page

With this detailed information, we can really help give
you some solid direction in order to help you achieve
your goals.

So if you want to be considered for a site review, then
go through this survey and fill it out as completely as
possible, especially if you've submitted a site in the
past and haven't been chosen.

The more thorough you are, the more likely you are to
be chosen and the more likely you'll be to get the
feedback that you need to help your business.

So submit your judo video today:

Hope yours gets chosen!

The World Best Judo "App"

Auto Date Thursday, October 27th, 2011

Do Not Go Here ->
drrhadiferguson/how-to-get-good-at-judo
READ BELOW FIRST

================
Introduction
================

I'm sure you know that "app" is short for the word
"application." And when it comes to the application
of a thing or applying something, there are only
two ways... the right way and... the wrong way.
The funny thing is, is that both paths, that of
the "right way" and the "wrong way" both kinda
start out the same.

They seem similar, but its not until you've walked
the wrong path for a long period of time that you
realize how freaking far you are off from "the right
path."

=============
The Problem
drrhadiferguson/how-to-get-good-at-judo
=============

Those who have never walked the "right path"
before don't understand what that path looks
like. They don't know how to duplicate it,
how to construct it and quite honestly
how to help YOU get on the right path.

And its sad, to watch people walk down
this path. There have been so many times
that I wanted to help but just couldn't. They
believed blindly in a medal, belt or certificate
that somebody else had.

================
Your Path
drrhadiferguson/how-to-get-good-at-judo
================

Look! Your path has to be specially designed,
carved, crafted and created for you. You CAN'T
use somebody elses and expect to get optimum
results for you. It just doesn't work like that.

Its like buying a suit off the rack and getting one
that is custom made. I mean, you can fit the
one off the rack, but its not something that you
would want to wear at a high level professional
meeting.

And that's just it. You NEED your own tailor made
and custom made strategic framework for action
for success and you need to know that that looks
like. You need to have that designed, created and
developed.

====================
Sometimes You Can't
Afford It... sometimes you
can't afford not to get it
drrhadiferguson/how-to-get-good-at-judo
====================

People ask me all the time, what was the best investment
I've ever made in my athletic career.
And I tell them, I was willing to pay whatever I needed to pay
in order to be the best.

In 2006 I was training a track and field athlete and she said,
"I don't want to go into debt in order to make the Olympics."
I laughed and then when I was at a meeting in Denver, I spoke
with Carol Lewis, who is the sister of 9-Time Olympian Carl Lewis
and an Olympian herself and she said, "Well tell her she's not
ready to be an Olympian because you have to be willing to
pay with no guarantees."

And in my life, I was willing to pay, understanding that paying
did not guarantee a win, but it did guarantee that I would learn.
There's so much chance in the environment of Judo, the best
thing that you can do is reduce it as much as possible.

I can still remember when I was training Taraje Williams-Murray
along with Jimmy Pedro for the 2008 Olympic Games.

We did so many reps and practice so long that Taraje wanted
know when we were going to take a break.

He was bored.

He was tired.

He was frustrated.

But, he beat the #1 Player in the world at the Olympic Games
because he used elements of deliberate practice to develop
a technique as well as a style which were unbeatable if
implemented properly.

He used deliberate practice.

Deliberate practice is a special type of
training which I spoke about earlier
this week. It will allow you to advance
quickly, to learn at a rapid rate and to -
quite honestly - get good at Judo FAST!

My clients have used these methods and
I have used them. I've studied the research
of the foremost authorities on the subject
for years and have applied their techniques
along with some things that I've learned
over the years through making champions
and mistakes to the point where I have
refined to process of rapid judo indoctrination.

My clients get good fast because I understand
coaching and education and the secrets of
deliberate practice.

And furthermore..... I am WILLING to do
the deliberate practice. The hours and
hours of training with you to ensure that
you develop.

judo game, please visit this site and watch

Find other ZORGIUM pages using your favorite search engine:

Enter your search keyword(s) and the keyword "zorgium" into the search input field of http://bing.com, http://yahoo.com or http://google.com.

Heads up: There's an ongoing spamdexing of Google searchbot algorithms. Sites that are 'copies of copies' and cloaked sites which include Zorgium keywords presented to search engine crawlers yet garbage content presented to human visitors were hosted on thousands of IP addresses and domains registered immediately after the introduction of Zorgium in November of 2009. The Hostgator/'The Planet'/Softlayer datacenters in Texas seem to be the epicenter of this activity in conjunction with anonymously registered domains of various TLD's but primarily .info domains at Godaddy which, in our opinion, has some sort of connection to the domains of goldmint.in and goldmint.org. Google has begun to notice this and has begun to lower the ranking of these sites and put our original sites back on top of the search rankings. These actions, as far as we can tell, negatively impact the use of the keyword 'zorgium' as a search term and provided little benefit, if any, to the perpetrators.

ZORGIUM note to content providers: If you don't want your page to appear in Zorgium's search abstraction then put an exclusion for "Zorgium" in your web server's robots.txt file.

DISCLAIMER: Zorgium is a free world-wide-web engine from AZ.COM. You may use it, but by doing so you agree that your use of other people's information discovered via our website is entirely your responsibility. Enjoy!
